Our company is one major international producer of interlining products, with HQ based in France and has some 1500 employees in the world. We supply our interlinings to the most important international garment brands in more than 100 countries.
China is an important base of our company in terms of sourcing for raw materials as well as finished goods. We are looking for a Quality Controller for these sourcing activities.
Job description:
Directly reporting to the Quality Manager and Purchasing Manager in France HQ, you are responsible for controlling supplier quality to ensure the conformity of all purchased products, in terms of performance and safety. You play a crucial role in the deployment and support of our sourcing strategies and quality management.
Responsibilities:
-Inspection and quality control of our suppliers, on a daily base.
-Establishment of technical requirements and quality control procedures.
-Lead and communicate our testing reports between China and France HQ.
-Assist to France HQ, to monitor and update the progress of each order at each supplier.
-Ensure regular reporting to France HQ about suppliers on their quality performances or counter-performances, assist to the preventive and corrective action plans.
Qualifications:
-University degree in textiles specialty.
-5 years’ experience in textiles and garment industries – quality inspection fields is a plus.
-You write and speak English very good.
-You are honest, curious, autonomous and well organized.
-Good technical ability to perform product inspections, general knowledge of inspection tools.
-Good human ability for listening and communication, to work on transversal projects with purchasing team and technical team between China and France.
-Frequent travel to suppliers is required.
